Emma Krayneski
Volunteer & Tree Program Coordinator
"Hold up a mirror and ask yourself what you are capable of doing, and what you really care about. Then take the initiative - don't wait for someone else to ask you to act." -Sylvia Earle
Emma's passion for sustainability brought her to KOB first as a volunteer and now as part of our staff. Emma graduated from the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a bachelor's degree in Biology and a minor in Sustainability. Her undergraduate experience included research on herpetology data collections, as well as using molecular biomarkers to compare primate physiologies and health outcomes. Beyond academics, she has worked in customer service at her university’s public safety department, a childcare facility, and as a senior companion. Wherever she goes, Emma aims to spread awareness on how to pursue an eco-friendly lifestyle, and encourages her peers to do all they can to support our environment.
