What We Do
We offer a wide range of programs, events, and resources that promote community and environmental stewardship through education, service, and advocacy.
- KOB's Environmental Education programs connect learners of all ages to the urban nature around them, and promote a healthy community.
- Professional Development Workshops for Educators offer training and certification in environmental education curricula.
- Meaningful Volunteer Opportunities and service-learning experiences strengthen our connection to the urban ecosystem.
- To date, the Trees for Omaha program has planted over 3,200 trees in 87 public spaces throughout Omaha.
- Our Stormwater Awareness programs address water pollution via educational resources and community service projects.
- The Recycle Right campaign helps residents recycle properly and reduce waste, with online recycling education resources such as the Omaha Recycling Guide.
