Educator Workshop - "Seasons of Play: The Beauty of Fall"
“Seasons of Play” is a professional development and training workshop for early childhood educators. We will meet seasonally to help you bring fresh, meaningful nature play to your early childhood programs. Each session highlights simple, inspiring ways to engage children with the natural world using seasonal opportunities and everyday materials. Explore playful, developmentally supportive ideas that work in a variety of settings—indoors and outdoors. Join us as we discover how the changing seasons can spark curiosity, creativity, and joyful learning all year long.
Keep Omaha Beautiful & The Nebraska Extension of Douglas-Sarpy Counties will offer two, free online sessions of “The Seasons of Play."

Each session highlights simple, inspiring ways to help children engage with the natural world using seasonal opportunities and everyday materials. There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required.
About KOB's Certification Courses
The following applies to all educator-certification courses offered by Keep Omaha Beautiful:
- Workshop participants include early childhood educators, K-12 teachers, and informal educators.
- Courses are offered at little to no cost to participants.
- Through these workshops, participants become certified in the respective environmental education curriculum and gain the knowledge and hands-on experiences to help them engage their young learners in environmental education activities.
- Participants will receive a curriculum guide full of lesson plans and activities (that align with academic standards) that can be used in outdoor and indoor settings throughout the entire year.
- As certified environmental educators, participants are also granted online access to additional resources.
- KOB provides ongoing support to help educators fully integrate environmental education into their teaching.
