Star Spangled Cleanup

Join us for a Star Spangled Community Cleanup!

This post-Independence Day litter cleanup will take place in Hanscom Park and surrounding neighborhoods. Fireworks contain a variety of toxic pollutants, including heavy metals, sulfur-coal compounds, and other poisonous materials. To ensure these pollutants do not end up in our local waterways and negatively impact our urban ecosystem, it is important to clean up fireworks waste to prevent it from entering storm drains on the street.
