KOB Mission Statement
Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. is an environmental organization that does what its name implies. The mission of KOB is to enchance the physical appearance of the Omaha Community. The objectives are:
-Litter Reduction
-Beautification
-Education leading to action
There are four areas that we concentrate on:
-We work with and promote the participation of neighborhood groups with KOB's programs.
-We work and cooperate with the City of Omaha's solid waste programs.
-We educate the business community and citizens about the advantages of litter reduction, recycling
and solid waste management. Each year we work with over 7,000 volunteers.
-We participate in the programs of the national Keep America Beautiful organization.
Some of the programs Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. is involved in are: -City-wide Spring Cleanup/Cleanup Omaha
-Ecology Day Camp for Kids
-Trail Maintenance
-Storm Drain Disc Placement/Education
-"Helping Hands" for senior and impaired citizens with yard cleanup
-Youth Fall Cleanup
Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. opened its doors as one of Omaha's first environmental agencies and thrives today
with the strong support of individuals, neighborhood associations, City offices and businesses.
We believe that our city is a wonderful place to live, filled with great people dedicated to keeping Omaha
