Adopt-A-Park

Your group or business can adopt an Omaha park to make sure it is a great place to be. Or, if you wish, you may do a one time cleanup. Download the Adopt-A-Park packet

Business “Clean Up – Sweep Up

Want to get some of your employees out for an hour or two a few times during the year to do community service work? Equipment, bags, and locations are provided if desired. Adopt-A-Block brochures are available.

Cell Phone Recycling

Give us your old cell phone. We’ll recycle it and KOB receives $1 for each phone. Bring to our office or to the Hazerdous Household Waste facility. Under the Sink located at 4001 S. 120th Street.

“Caught in the Act”

A program for citizens to write Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. and let us know about a special person, group, or business who are doing kind deeds to improve the image of our community. Did someone plant flowers for all to see or did someone do a special clean up? We’ll send them a letter of commendation.

Dam-site Litter Cleanup

Groups or individuals walk around area dam-site lakes and pick up “fishing litter”. Bags are provided if needed.

“Helping Hands”

Help elderly and disabled citizens with yard clean up. Equipment and bags are provided if needed. Download the Helping Hands packet

KOB Charity Golf Classic

Hole sponsors and players are wanted for our only fund-raiser of the year. July 12th, 2010 at the Players Club at Deer Creek! Everyone is welcome. Download the Golf Packet

Call 1-877-665-4877 to report littering.

Old Market and Eugene Leahy Mall Cleanup

Bags and gloves are available if needed.

Trail Cleanup

Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. will pay $50.00 (at least 2 miles) to any organized group willing to walk any Omaha trail or dam-site picking up litter along the way. Bags are provided if needed.

Storm Drain Disc Placement & Education

Your organized group can help place disks on city storm drain grates and place fliers to remind citizens not to dump wastes down city storm drains.

Summer Arts Festival

Summer Arts Festival needs volunteers. June 25th, 26th and 27th, 2010. If you would like to volunteer please contact Ashley at amcnabney@vgagroup.com or call 345-5401.

World O! Water Festival

For kids and families to learn about Omaha’s water quality and water fun. Food, games, fishing, canoeing and more. It’s all free. Come out to 154th and Giles, Wehrspann Lake Sept 19, 2010 12 noon to 4pm.

Stream Cleanup Day

Help pick up litter from small streams, dam-sites and lagoons. September 18th, 2010

Youth Fall Cleanup

October 23-25 for 2009 and October 22-24 for 2010
Any youth organization, with adult leaders, may volunteer to pick up litter at any public use area in the city. Keep Omaha Beautiful, Inc. will provide bags, coupons and a letter of commendation from the Mayor.

Earth Day 2010

Anyone wishing to volunteer may call Craig at 681-9458 to attend the celebration April 17, 2010 at Elmwood park.
